Iowa egg producers are making a big donation to the Food Bank of Iowa.

Thursday, Centrum Valley Farms will give the food bank more than 64,000 eggs to help feed hungry Iowans.

The Food Bank of Iowa says 395,000 Iowans are food insecure. That means they may not have enough food to feed everyone in their household or have limited access to nutritious foods. High-quality sources of protein, like eggs, are one of the most-needed items at food banks.

Partner agencies in 55 Iowa counties benefit from the food provided by the Iowa Food Bank.
