WOMAN KILLED: Cedar Rapids Homicide Case

Cedar Rapids police now say the death of a 37-year-old is considered a homicide.

KWWL reports authorities found Shanna Beyhl dead in her apartment last Friday. After an autopsy Saturday, the medical examiner classified her death as a homicide.

Police are actively investigating the homicide but say they don’t believe there is a threat to the public.

This is the 7th homicide in the city this year. There were only three is all of last year.

No arrests have been made in any of the cases, however two of them were classified as murder-suicides.
