There's a non-traditional sport migrating to Iowa and now gaining popularity in Des Moines.
“I think it`s one of the best kept secrets in the Des Moines metro area,” player Rob Johnson says.
It may be a little hard to find in Water Works Park but that’s not stopping the 200-odd participants each year.
“It`s so isolated, but that`s what makes it great to come out here and play,” player Brad Adam adds.
Everyone who found their way here has a different story about why they first started playing ultimate frisbee.
