Another trip to the Ellen show netted another big donation for a Des Moines restaurant owner Friday.

For the second time in two weeks, Derrick Walton was a guest on Ellen. Walton owns Rock Power Pizza on Southwest 9th Street.

The former homeless man opens the restaurant on Monday nights only to the homeless to feed them for free.

Last week Ellen gave Walton a check for $10,000 to continue his crusade. Today, JC Penney had a pair of surprises for him.

"They are going to make over your entire home,” Ellen DeGeneres told Walton. “JC Penney wants to help contribute in another way. They want to give you another $10,000 check. So keep doing what you’re doing! That’s what happens when you’re a good person, good things happen to good people.”

Ellen plans to have Walton on again next month to show off his remodeled home.
