More showers and thunderstorms continue to build into eastern Iowa. There is a Flood Watch over the southeastern 1/2 of the state. The watch does not include Des Moines.

We have seen over 2 inches of rain in many places today. Some of the totals include:
Grinnell: 5"
Pella: 4.64"
Marshalltown: 3.94
Waterloo: 3.60"
Osceola: 3.30"
Des Moines: 1.76"
Woodburn...Clarke County: 3.50"

More rain will add to those totals...and there is a chance for snow to mix in later tonight. Measurable snow is possible in NW and northcentral Iowa.

Tomorrow will be much cooler and windy. Highs will be in the lower 40s. There is a chance for frost Monday night to Tuesday. Cover those new plants.

Wednesday will be warmer...dry weather is expected until Thursday.
