OWI ARREST: ISU Basketball Player Charged

Police arrested an Iowa State athlete over the weekend.

Basketball player Abdel Nader is charged with drunk driving. Iowa State University police stopped Nader around 11:40 Saturday night. Officers say he ran a red light on Hyland Avenue.

According to the ISU Athletic Department, Nader is suspended indefinitely from the team.

Nader transferred to Iowa State last year from Northern Illinois. He sat out this last season and would have been eligible to play this upcoming season.
