The trial of a former Boone man accused of killing his wife has been delayed again.

Alexander Fazzino is charged with the first degree murder. His wife Emily was found dead in a bathroom in the couple’s home in January 2012.

In a 911 call Fazzino told dispatchers someone was trying to drown themselves in the tub. During the investigation into his wife’s death he told official she was addicted to pain medication.

Emily Fazzino had served her husband with divorce papers the week prior to her death.

Alexander Fazzino’s trial was supposed to begin in June. Last week a judge moved it to December.

Fazzino is free on bond.
