A Marshall County man is in jail after police say he damaged homes and other vehicles with his SUV Monday night.

Marshalltown police and Marshall County Sheriff’s deputies were called to the 100 block of East Lincoln Street around 11:30 p.m. on a vehicle driving recklessly in the area.

Witnesses saw an SUV repeatedly hit vehicles behind one house, hit the front porches of two other homes, and then saw the driver break windows at another home. No injuries were reported.

The driver tried to run off, but police caught him.

Police arrested 42-year-old Jason Collins.  He’s charged with criminal mischief, aggravated domestic abuse, OWI, harassment, and reckless driving.

Collins is being held in the Marshall County Jail.
