Two of the three Eldora State Training School students who escaped last week have been caught but one is still on the loose.
The Iowa Department of Human Services says two students were caught in Cedar Rapids, one on Sunday and the other on Monday.
The Muscatine County Sheriff’s Office says the third student, who remains at large, is a suspect in crimes that happened over the weekend.
The students escaped while they were being escorted from a gymnasium to their cottage on the school property. Five other students initially escaped with them, but were rounded up within an hour and returned to the school.
The Eldora Training School houses “seriously delinquent” youth.
