Overnight tonight mostly cloudy skies will spin into the state along with chilly air once again. Lows will be in the 30s.

Thursday will be a bit colder with highs getting stuck in the 40s for most, but it will be a short lived cool spell as the 60s should bounce back over the southern half of the state on Friday, with the rest of the state warm by the weekend.

Highs should hit 70 in Des Moines on Saturday, but 60s will have to do on Sunday as another chance for rain and storms moves into the state. Sunday's rainfall should not be nearly as heavy as last weekend, though we could see a few decent "slow soaked" totals mixed in with a couple rumbles of thunder.

Next week should be much warmer, with highs climbing back to the mid and upper-70s, with dry weather through the first half of the week. The heat should eventually fuel a chance for storms late next week.
