We last saw Lolo Jones in the bobsled for the Winter Olympic Games. But soon we will see her back on the track trying to win gold.

The Des Moines native is among the athletes competing in the Drake Relays.

Lolo was the only Iowa native to represent the USA in Sochi. She gained almost 30-pounds helped by a 9,000 calorie diet.

Now it’s a battle as she transitions from bobsled to track.

“It’s been non-stop for the last two years,” Lolo said. “I have not taken really a week off so I really needed to kind of enjoy a chocolate cake now and then and not stress that my career would be over.”

The Roosevelt alum will compete in the shuttle huddle relays on Friday.
