Five officers with three different agencies are on administrative leave following a shooting last week in Iowa Falls.

Authorities say Leighton Fitz walked out of his house during a standoff last Thursday wearing a bullet-proof vest and armed with multiple weapons.

When the 25-year-old reached for a gun, officers opened fire.

Those officers were named as Trooper Jeremy Schaffer, Trooper Kyle Haack, Iowa Falls Officers Joe Metz and Bryce Knudsen, and a Special Agent in the Iowa Division of Narcotics Enforcement.
