A special investigation into a former University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics employee found he allegedly sold hospital IT equipment for personal gain.

The State Auditor’s Office was asked to look into the matter.

The report says Brian Manary started working for the facility in 2005. He was fired in June of 2013.

According to the report, Manary sold the facility’s computer equipment and put the money in his personal account. The loss for the hospital is over $57,000.

The report has been turned over to the DCI and the Johnston County Attorney’s Office.
