Runners had to deal with a few delays thanks to the wild weather at the Hy-Vee Road Races Sunday morning. More than 6,000 runners from 33 states and eight countries participated. Runners could race in the half marathon, 10K, and 5K.
Hy-Vee added a new Kids Road Race as part of the new program Hy-Vee Kids Fit. Officials say this is part of a series to combat childhood obesity.
