A second person has died following a round of severe weather that moved through southeast Iowa on Sunday.
According to the Keokuk County Sheriff’s Department the victim died of their injuries on Tuesday. Officials have not released the name of the victim.
A 50-year-old woman was killed and another was injured when the storm moved through Kinross, located in Keokuk County, on Sunday.
The storms produced a tornado, with winds of 110 m.p.h., moved through Iowa, Johnson and Keokuk Counties. According to the National Weather Service, the tornado was on the ground for more than 40 miles.
