Residents in Madrid may finally be able to drink water directly from the tap on Friday.

The city issued a boil advisory on April 22nd because of the cloudiness of the drinking water. It had four-times the allowable level of turbidity.

The city has since replaced a filter that will correct the problem.

The final step is to flush the water system. That is expected to happen Friday and when complete, the boil advisory will be lifted.
