The Johnston School District is warning parents of a stranger danger incident.

The district says a man in a black, four-door Honda reportedly approached a group of Lawson Elementary students at the bus stop at 6106 Pinewood Court Thursday morning.

The kids say the man asked about their morning school day routine. The students purposely answered with inaccurate information.

Once at school the students told a teacher and the principal about the incident.

Students described the man as bald with glasses and say he was wearing a black sweatshirt with the letters “UPS” on it.

The school district sent e-mails to students’ parents to notify them about what happened.

The Johnston Police Department is looking into the incident and plans to interview the kids involved.
