Des Moines police now suspect three overnight robberies were the work of two different men not one.
The first happened at the Walgreens in the 3100 block of Southeast 14th shortly before 2 a.m. when a man brandished a knife and demanded cash. He got away with $230.
Ninety minutes later a Kum-N-Go on Southeast 14th was held up followed by a Walgreens on East Euclid an hour later. Police say both of those also involved a suspect with a knife demanding cash.
Police now believe the second two robberies were the work of one man. But they say the Southeast 14th Walgreens robbery was the work of a different man.
The manager of that Walgreens doesn’t know who the suspect is but says he does recognize him from a previous robbery at the store in January.
No one was injured in any of the robberies.
