Before today, the Iowa Cubs hadn't had a pitcher throw a no-hitter since 1984. That's the year Ghostbusters came out.

It was a big crowd for an I-Cubs matinee at New Orleans, but Zephyr fans had little to cheer as Chris Rusin no-hit the Zephyrs and drove in two runs.

“For me personally, it’s by far the best game I’ve ever played. First at bat I tried to get the ball in play because bases were loaded, I didn’t want to strike out, I wanted to try and make something happen,” Rusin said on the Murph and Andy Show on KXNO.

It’s the first no-hitter Rusin has thrown since his Little League days.

The I-Cubs went on to win 3-0.
