TWO ARRESTED: Man Stabbed In Marshalltown

Marshalltown police are investigating a stabbing that sent one person to the hospital.

The incident happened Tuesday night at around 11:15 p.m. at 304 North Third Avenue.

When officers arrived on the scene they found a male victim with non-life threatening injuries to the torso.

“The victim and the suspect know each other along with some other friends that were there. They were drinking, an argument started and escalated to the point where someone got stabbed,” Capt. Brian Batterson explained.

marshalltown stabbingPolice took 42-year-old Tunding Moang and 26-year-old Michael Jones into custody.

Moang is charged with going armed with intent. Jones is charged with interference with official acts for blocking officers’ access to the victim.

The case remains under investigation.
