MAN ROBBED: Victim Thought He Was Meeting with Prostitute

A Marshalltown man said he was robbed when he went to a Des Moines home to meet a woman he believed was a prostitute.

According to Des Moines Police, it happened at about 5 p.m. in the 2500 block of Logan Avenue. The victim, a 55-year-old man, told police a woman led him into the home, where a man demanded the victim get on the ground and then took his cell phone, car keys and $175 in cash. The victim said the suspect was holding what appeared to be a paintball gun.

No arrests have been made in the case.
