Hail wasn’t the only thing that fell on a Windsor Heights home during severe storms Thursday evening.

The owner says the storm also took out a big ash tree.

“Pretty lucky, most of it went between the houses,” Michael Killebrew said.

It took crews about five hours to safely remove the tree.

The homeowner says the tree left damage to the rafters, down spouts and cracked some of the plaster in his bedroom.

The insurance inspector is already looking into the damage.

“One of the neat things when something like this happens is the neighbors come out of the wood works and we put on quite a show. It’s kind of fun to watch everybody and people seem impressed with what we can do,” Tim Bennett of Bennett Tree Service said.

Bennett says this is the only call he received as a result of this storm.
