The old Des Moines fire station has finally completed its transformation into the newest entertainment venue.

“I think there are so many creative people here that the social club will be a great outlet for people to work and show their work and express themselves ,” says Jennifer Michard.

The Des Moines social club down caters to a wide variety people who want to show off their creative side. The venue spans between two buildings offering dance and art studios, a theater and restaurants. The social club is open every day and there is no membership required. Executive director, Zachary Mannheimer says it's an attraction unique to Des Moines.

“It's a brand new idea. It’s never existed before. Trying new something has been the biggest challenge and trying to keep it moving and getting the support of the community which we now have.”
