HAWKEYE FOOTBALL: Hitchens Drafted, Morris Free Agent

NEW YORK - Just 1 Hawkeye got the NFL call on Saturday.  Linebacker Anthony Hitchens was selected in the 4th round by the Dallas Cowboys, 119th overall.

Hitchens was a 2nd team All-Big 10 selection as a Senior last year.

Four Hawkeyes have signed free agent contracts.  The other Senior linebacker James Morris, Solon native, signs with the New England Patriots.

Offensive lineman Brett Van Sloten heads to Baltimore, Connor Bofelli, former Valley Tiger signs with the Vikings.  Long snapper Casey Kreiter also signs with the Cowboys.
