The strong storms that tore through the Lake Panorama area Sunday didn’t cause any damage to the governor’s house.
Gov. Terry Branstad’s wife and son found no damage after driving to check on the family home Monday. No one in the family was in the house when the storm hit.
The governor feels his family and others are fortunate.
“Thank God that we didn’t have any lives lost or serious injuries. Property damage can be repaired,” says Branstad.
The Branstads bought a home at the lake after selling their cabin in Boone County last year.
