This weekend, a new era goes green at Iowa Speedway.
NASCAR now owns the track and everything looks in order.
The logos are painted. Haulers are arriving. But new Iowa Speedway president, Jimmy Small, doesn't see it like that.
“I guess you could say I’m a worrier by nature. It’s where I come from in my family,” Small said.
Last September NASCAR gave Small the keys to the track and since it's been full speed ahead.
“We’ve put so many hours in and so much effort in to be just a few day away now is really exciting,” Small added.
Small isn't alone. NASCAR is keeping a close eye on the progress and providing resources. They all want Small's first weekend to be a success.
