Authorities found two bodies inside of a mobile home in Glidden just before 10 p.m. Sunday. Investigators aren't saying how the two died, only that it's "suspicious."
“It's an active death investigation with two victims and you know we're pursuing all leads,” says Mitch Mortvedt, Assistant Director of Field Operations for the Division of Criminal Investigation.
Neighbors say they didn`t notice anything out of the ordinary over the weekend at 129 Carroll Street #5.
“They asked me if I heard any yelling or anything. I couldn't hear no yelling from here,” says Edi Corado of Glidden.
“It is suspicious in nature and we are treating it as such. We just don't have the information from the autopsies, yet the state medical examiners office to say, to confirm what manner of death is it as far as homicide or not,” says Mortvedt.
“They're family friends,” says Shaina Hunsicker.
Authorities haven’t released the names of the people who died, but Hunsicker says she`s known the mother and her adult son nearly half of her life.
“She was fun, never a dull moment around her. She always made me smile,” says Hunsicker.
After learning of their deaths, she couldn’t hold back her tears.
“I'm about to cry now thinking about it. When you grow up with somebody, you're never expecting this to happen.”
Autopsies are scheduled for Tuesday.
If you have any information that could help investigators, you're asked to contact the Carroll County Sheriff's Office.
