MAN STABBED: Not Seriously Injured

Des Moines police are investigating a stabbing that happened early Wednesday morning on the city’s east side.

Police were called to the 1700 block of Lay Street shortly before 3:00 a.m. on reports of a stabbing. When they got there officers found a man with a stab wound to the abdomen. The man was able to tell police that someone he didn’t know robbed him at knifepoint.

The injury is non-life threatening and the man was not transported to the hospital.

Police are still investigating and say they do not have a suspect at this time.
