LOTTERY FRAUD: Former Employee Charged

A former Iowa Lottery employee is facing fraud charges.

The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation says Iowa Lottery staff procedures recently identified a discrepancy in records involving some lottery retail locations in north central Iowa.

When the lottery`s division of security was notified it conducted an internal review, and requested a criminal investigation by DCI officials.

Former lottery employee Toni Hammer of Alta has been charged in Webster County with seven counts of lottery fraud and one count of tampering with records.
