Overnight conditions will remain muggy, with lows only dropping to around 70 in Des Moines.
Sunday will bring a chance of widespread isolated storms throughout the afternoon, and even a better chance rain and storms late Sunday night and early Monday morning.
Severe weather will be possible Sunday afternoon in Nebraska, with some strong storms crossing into Western Iowa Sunday night. While the storms will hold together enough to bring rain, and likely thunder to Central Iowa, the severe threat should be low by the overnight hours in which the storms will arrive.
A better chance for severe weather and heavy rain will move into Central Iowa Tuesday afternoon into Wednesday morning.
