Today will remain warm and humid with highs in the upper 80s. Scattered storms will develop this afternoon, and will become more widespread overnight into early Monday morning. These storms will strengthen in Nebraska, crossing into Western Iowa Sunday night. While the storms will hold together enough to bring rain, and likely thunder to Central Iowa, the severe threat should be low by the overnight hours in which the storms will arrive.
A better chance for severe weather and heavy rain will move into Central Iowa Tuesday afternoon into Wednesday morning.
