METH CHARGES: Two People Arrested in Jasper County

Two people have been arrested on drug charges after officials executed a search warrant in Lambs Grove Sunday night.

At about 10 p.m. Sunday, members of the Mid-Iowa Narcotics Enforcement Task Force, assisted by the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office and the Newton Police Department, searched a residence at 109 Thomas Jefferson Drive in Lambs Grove.

Authorities said they seized illegal drugs and paraphernalia during the search.

Matthew Hartford, 35, was charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver more than five grams within 1,000 feet of a school, a Class B felony; conspiracy to distribute more than five grams of methamphetamine, a Class B felony; maintaining a drug house, an aggravated misdemeanor; possession of Schedule IV drug X2, a serious misdemeanor; possession of marijuana, a serious misdemeanor; and possession of drug paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor.

Tiffany Vandekrol, 42, was charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver more than five grams within 1,000 feet of a school, conspiracy to distribute more than five grams of methamphetamine, possession of Schedule IV drug X2, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Both were taken to the Jasper County Jail.
