A homeowner and an accused robber are in the hospital after a home invasion Sunday morning.
The Webster County Sheriff's Office said at about 6 a.m. Sunday, the suspect entered the residence near Coalville and began to rob it.
The homeowner received several knife wounds during a struggle with the suspect. During the altercation, the homeowner fired three shots into the robber's torso. The suspect fled the area in a vehicle and crashed in to a ditch.
Paramedics took the homeowner and the suspect to the hospital.
Their names have not been released but charges are pending.
