A California man accused of impersonating a movie star in order to seduce teenage girls in Jasper County is scheduled to be in court next week.
David LaVera is charged with enticing a minor and on weapons charges. The 33-year-old was arrested Tuesday after allegedly luring a Baxter 14-year-old into his car.
When police stopped him they say they found a sword and knives in his car.
LaVera was invited to make an appearance at two Newton schools last week. He used his real name when he signed in at the school. However, he told kids he was Kiowa Gordon, an actor in the Twilight films.
He was later invited to a school sponsored pool party.
Police don’t know how many girls he may have made contact with so they are asking anyone who was with LaVera to call them.
