DYERSVILLE, Iowa – If you build it they will come and people have been coming to the Field of Dreams for 25 years now.

An anniversary celebration is being held in Dyersville Friday evening.

Among the VIP’s scheduled to be there are Bob Costas and actor Kevin Costner, who starred in the film.

The governor also paid a visit.

The movie is being shown on a big-screen on the field later tonight.

Is Bob Costas one of the ghosts? Man he’s spooky looking. Worst face-job on TV.

PS: There’s almost no information in this story. Why even bother, WHO?

I think between all the Iowa movies made here. I think ‘Field of Dreams’ & ‘Twister’ were the best!!
I think that’s really nice Kevin Costner came back to Iowa for this!!
When we move to Boone County. We had our personal belongings in storage in Williamsburg & I made sure I grab the ‘Field of Dreams’ video.
But I watch Twister’ the most!! Cause it was made here in Boone County & I’m watching it now!!!

This beautiful film inspired my dad and me to fulfill one of our dreams, seeing all 30 MLB parks. We did it over the course of one long road trip, borrowing two months from the summer of 2004. We even hit the Field of Dreams for a catch along the way. You can see it here for free if you like: http://www.bosmovie.com.
