DES MOINES, Iowa — A trio of furry babies is making a stir at the Blank Park Zoo.

The zoo is home to three Japanese macaque babies. Two females were born at the zoo earlier this month but then abandoned by their mothers. The male was born at the Buffalo Zoo in New York on June 5th but was also abandoned by his mother.

Keepers at the zoo say all three are doing well and they are working hard to hand-raise the monkeys. They must be fed every few hours. KeepersĀ hope the babies will beĀ able to join the macaque troupe at the zoo when they are older.
