KNOXVILLE, Iowa - The Iowa Corn Indy 300 showcases Iowa’s production of ethanol.

IndyCar driver Jack Hawksworth got a close look on a third generation family farm in Knoxville where ethanol is in its early phase of production.

It may have a bigger engine, but the tractor Hawksworth drove doesn’t handle like an Indy car.

“I was more nervous driving that than I’ve ever been in an Indy car. That thing is big and pretty intimidating,” Hawksworth said.

The Iowa Corn Indy 300 is July 12 at Iowa Speedway and is a night race.
