Ottumwa Man’s Body Found in Des Moines River

WAPELLO COUNTY, Iowa — The body of an Ottumwa man who disappeared into the waters of the Des Moines River Monday night has been recovered.

Michael Chrisman’s body was found Thursday morning around 9:30 a.m.

The Wapello County Sheriff’s Office says Chrisman was with friends Monday night at the Cliffland Park River Access when he went under the water’s surface and wasn’t seen again.

Chrisman and his friends had been jumping into the river from a rope tied to a tree.

    Wow whwn will the courier get anything right, where do they find thse brain dead writers do they even get up out the arm chair to do any fact checking ? No, if they tried contactng people in the know ” this is easy to do” they would be foing real journalism. But no, facepalm
