ILLINOIS – A truck driver traveling through Illinois last week claims he caught a trooper speeding and talking on his cell phone.
The driver, Brian Miner, honked his horn at the trooper as he passed on the wet road.
The trooper then pulled the truck over and threatened to give the driver a ticket for unlawful use of a horn.
But when the trucker told the officer that the whole thing is being recorded, the officer seemed to change his tune.
By the end of the exchange, the trooper admitted he wasn’t paying attention and appreciated Miner trying to help him drive safely.
The trooper didn’t end up writing the ticket, saying he didn’t want to hurt his record.
