DES MOINES, Iowa – A Newton man was sentenced to federal prison for eight years Thursday for using hidden cameras to film children and adults undressing in his home.

James Brock, 72, admitted to the charge of possessing child pornography.

In early July, 2013, Newton police searched Brock’s home after receiving tips from parents whose children had visited to use a tanning bed and swimming pool. Police found more than 1,000 DVDs and VHS tapes of people undressing.

As part of the sentence, Brock was forced to forfeit his home where the offences took place along with the cameras used.
