Two Teens Caught Breaking into School Arrested

DES MOINES, Iowa – Two teens have been charged with third degree burglary after being accused of breaking into a Des Moines school last week.

Police responded to a call of a burglary in progress at Findley Elementary School Friday at 10:45 p.m.

Officers found two 17-year-olds in the school.

The teens took off but were caught and arrested at the west entrance. They told officers they had entered through the school roof to play basketball.

Police then took them to Meyer Hall Juvenile Detention Center.
