State Patrol Investigating Fatal Head-On Crash

WARREN COUNTY, Iowa – The Iowa State Patrol is investigating after one person was killed in a morning accident near Indianola.

The head-on collision happened shortly before 9 a.m. Thursday at the intersection of Highway 92 and 70th Avenue about five miles west of Indianola.

The Iowa State Patrol says the driver of a straight truck, Anthony Martinez, 37, was killed when a pickup driven by Frank Manders, 25, crossed the center line on a slight curve and crashed into him.

Manders was taken to Mercy Hospital in Des Moines and is listed in fair condition.

The accident remains under investigation.

    Do you think it is appropriate for media to show the vehicle with the company name on the truck before family members may have been notified?

      The uniform company is out of Nebraska not iowa so it shouldn’t have any affect on any thing yes family should be notified first but they are trying to show how serious this crash was
