Animal Rescue League of Iowa is over capacity for adoptable pets.

DES MOINES, Iowa — The Animal Rescue League of Iowa says 53 animals were adopted Wednesday.

They say that’s a huge success as the ARL is caring for a record number of homeless animals.

Wednesday more than 30 people also volunteered to foster animals, however the ARL also took in 58 new animals.

If you’re considering adopting, now is a good time to do it! There is a special $25 adoption promotion that continues through Sunday. The ARL has a goal of getting 200 adoptions before the promotion ends.

All pets are spayed or neutered, micro-chipped, and vaccinated.
