DES MOINES, Iowa — The Des Moines Area Association of Realtors says the housing industry is holding steady in the metro.

The association says more than 100 additional contracts were closed in June compared to the month before.

The median sale price also jumped more than $10,000 to $175,000. Homes are selling after an average of 79 days on the market.

The association looks at home sales in the Dallas, Jasper, Marion, Polk and Warren counties.

what they’re not telling you is that the median sale price includes new custom built homes with custom inflated prices.
…..just try reselling your new home a year or two after you bought it.
PS…It’s now pronounced realtore’ and not realtor.
