Funeral Services Set for Man Killed in Home Invasion

DES MOINES, Iowa -Funeral services will be held this weekend for a man killed in a home invasion last week.

Rupert Anderson, 97, died after the attack last Wednesday. His wife, Harriet Anderson, 94, was critically injured in the attack.

The suspect, Ngor Makuey,18, is in the Polk County Jail facing murder and attempted murder charges.

Rupert Anderson’s visitation is Saturday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Hamilton’s Funeral Home on Lyon Street.

His funeral is Sunday begins at 2 p.m. at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church on East Euclid.
