Runner Seriously Injured After Being Struck By Car in Des Moines

DES MOINES, Iowa – One person has been injured after they were struck by a car while jogging Monday morning.

The crash happened shortly before 11:40 a.m. Monday near 31st Street at Kingman Boulevard, just a few blocks south of the Drake University campus.

Officials at the scene said the runner that was struck by the vehicle suffered serious injuries.

No other information is being released at this time.
