Man Acquitted in Decades Old Murder of Iowa Toddler

michael cisnerosMASON CITY, Iowa- The jury has acquitted an Iowa man in the decades old murder of a toddler.

Last year, DNA evidence linked Michael Cisneros, 38, to the death of 20-month-old John Snyder Jr.

It was the only arrest made in the case since the little boy was abducted on July 20, 1994.

Snyder’s body was found the next day in a creek near his Mason City home.

Monday, the jury returned with a not guilty verdict in the Cerro Gordo trial.
