Cars Destroyed in Des Moines Building Fire

DES MOINES, Iowa – Crews were called to a fire north of downtown Tuesday morning.

Flames were seen coming out from a contractor storage building on Keo and Carpenter at about 7:30 a.m.

The surrounding block was closed as firefighters tackled the blaze.

Officials say the building is a total loss and four cars in the building are destroyed.

No one was inside the building at the time of the fire and no one was hurt.
