Bank Robbery Suspect Caught After Leaving Trail of Money

DES MOINES, Iowa — Des Moines police say a suspect didn’t get very far after he allegedly robbed a bank Thursday.

It happened around 3:00 p.m. at the Bank of the West at 4910 Southeast 14th Street. Police say 24-year-old Kon Tong passed the teller a note demanding money and took off on foot.

Along the way Tong dropped money at several different locations. Officers eventually caught up with him at Southeast 12th and Watrous Avenue after witnesses pointed him out.

“As officers are responding down to the report of this bank robbery people from the public kept pointing to the north. Pointing to the north. So as they’re going south they’re seeing folks pointing to the north,” says Sgt. Jason Halifax with the Des Moines Police Department.

The bank teller positively identified Tong as the man who robbed the bank and he was taken into custody.

Tong is charged with second degree robbery and is being held in the Polk County Jail.

The Fed is dumping illegals in Iowa and other states as well.

Loser. Hopefully he had a gun, so he gets put away for a long time.
Another fine representative of the black community.

To fully understand why this man did this you would have to fully understand where he grew up and how he grew up. I’m not condoning what he has done but I understand PTSD. What this man has lived thu is nothing more than nightmarish. So robbing a bank is really no big deal to him after seeing his family get butchered to death by a group of terrorist welding axes and raping children. One can remove a man from his country but cannot always remove that country from the man.

I hate this excuse…. if you really wanted to change, then you will change. There’s tons of stories about people who had terrible and traumatic childhoods that grew up being outstanding citizens

That’s an insult to everyone who had dealt with things like that, and still managed not to lead a life of crime.

This thug made a choice to commit a crime. Passing the blame off on PTSD, a poor childhood, a lack of education, or any one of the number of things that liberals use for excuses does nothing more than cheapen people who have had a difficult life, and still managed to do the right things and make the right choices.

Not only did this guy make a choice to commit a crime, he proved that he’s either pretty ignorant, or he did it simply to get a few years worth of housing and food provided by the taxpayers.

If he didnt want to change why did he even come here? This is exactly why we need to be sending these people back to where they came from.

Every single time a black individual commit a crime there is ALWAYS racial comments made, but when it’s other races there are never ignorant comments smh..the one who asked where’s Jesse Jackson needs to learn to spell, William D. Is the only one to leave an intelligent comment. Crime is crime, stop judging by race.

    • Where Is Jessie Jackson-Sharpton

JHERE …..Oh …. Jesse? I thought his name Jessie Jackson-Sharpton and his son name was Jessie Jackson-Sharpton Crime

Im willing to bet that this guy has also been living off tax payer money the whole time he has been here. He for sure lives in government provided housing and probably receives food stamps to purchase food, which he probably sells those to get his drugs.

This guy comes from my country and from his name, he is from a tribe that believes in crimes. They are the ones causing instability in the country only to be resettled in the West . Compared to the other tribes, they do not develop their homes, villages or towns. They are used grabbing other people’s assets. To make it worse, they are the majority in ruling the country back .So any crime they do , the /their government will never judge them (to them it is normal). I hope he serves good years in the western jails.

@Joy, that is so myopic. Your country is not even mentioned in the news and you talk of tribe, who do you think knows what you are talking about? Grow up, this is 21st century.

Don’t blame the man for where he came from, blame him for what he have done, and there’s no colors for the banks robbery, black, white, red yellow are banks robberies and they did it for their own interests. Stop pointing your figure on the black people, white people robbed the banks too.

  • Elizabeth

It’s so sad that once a black man commit a crime, white people are quick to bring race. I rather him rob a bank and not hurt anyone. It’s sad that the first thing that all you people have to say is his race. We can remove all the black people out of this country and all of this will still happen. what about all the mascaras that white kids have been doing. Why don’t they return them to Europe. Maybe if young black man was given the same opportunity that white boys have maybe they won’t be doing patty crimes so they can get something to eat or pay for a place to stay.
The truth be told white people are the once hurting our country. American greed show the truth about white people. A lot of white american do the worst crime and because they have money, it hidden from the media. Let’s talk about white collar crime that are bring this country.
