Forty-four-year-old Jeremy Cory was found guilty Friday afternoon. He was accused of killing his wife, 49-year-old Vallerie Cory.

Her body was discovered April 14th in the home the couple shared in Cambridge, after officers performed a welfare check. She hadn’t been seen by family and friends since April 4th.

An autopsy showed Vallerie Cory died of multiple gunshot wounds. Her husband told investigators she had been dead since April 11th.

When investigators asked him what happened, Cory allegedly replied “It didn’t work out.”

Jeremy Cory’s sentencing has been scheduled for August 29th. He faces a mandatory sentence of life in prison.

  • Story County: How lazy can you get.

This Story County Attorney and Judge, who work 10-3:00, with 1.5 hour lunch, will answer to the Highest Judge for incompetence and laziness. This guy is a loony bird. He belongs on a nut farm. But that’s too much work for a 4:00 tee time.
